That's what the 100 smileys list says at least...

I can see it now - a YaBB Mod for all 100 smilies.  Grin

The problem with :o and :O is that some sources lists the two smileys as being equal in definition but others acknowledge the subtle difference between them.

True - but currently YaBB only has one shocked smiley. My bet is still on there having been a change many years ago between :O and :o as the marker for shocked and the lowercase check handles that. (Make that sometime before version 1.4 which is the oldest one I have installed for tests. And that's 10 years old now.  Although we could take out that check I can just about guarantee somebody who has a 1x forum out there will decide to upgrade and run into problems with that smiley.  Roll Eyes )

Well... Those two smileys can mean either shocked, surprised or yawn... That's what the 100 smileys list says at least...

Except for shocked - as far back as 2.1 it's been checked lower-case. Obviously at some point somebody decided that  :o and :O should render the same. Possibly for backwards compatability for some very early version of YaBB  Roll Eyes

Shocked is checked in lowercase. (And has been since at least 2.4)  Wink  Shocked

Update: I have a version of Seemly Smilies for 2.6.0.

However, I suspect there was a problem in the original with leap years.

I'm also curious as to how it behaves in Display in 1.4 and 2.6 when 'todays' date changes to where Seemly Smilies isn't active.

I got the mod installed on my 1.4 test so I can see what it does.

Now I have to figure out how to get it to do the same thing in 2.6.

(For those who don't know, Seemly Smilies allows an admin to have different banks of Smilies that only appear in the Post window on specific days  - like Christmas Smilies for the Xmas season.)
