This is the one I wrote for my boards - my people like to be able to simply hide text inline. Which is what this one does. No buttons, no divs, no javascript.

I'm working on updating Derek's spoiler BUT he wasn't happy with it and I haven't been able to get it behave with Context Help.

Also, your pictures are loading from a site that loads half a dozen popups.

Sorry Dandello, off-topic is still okay, but the spoiler is not as useful. 
Then the buttons, which is a hopeless mess. noparse no longer works.

 
 
Why do not you take just the mods by Derek and adapts these to? 
You must first adjust the spoiler and then offtopic. So Derek did it. 
If I could, I'd do it myself. Should I XTC ask if he makes it?

So it should normally look and is also useful

This mod adds a 'Hide text' to the Posting page UBBC.

upload hide_text.gif to yabbfiles/ModImages (binary)

Apply the mod and upload (in ASCII mode):
